Your overnight camping experience includes everything. Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra residents have been escaping to the South Coast for decades. After white settlement Mogo became well known for the Gold Rush of the 1850’s and settlers creating a new era for the region. The Aboriginal history of the area includes locations such as Tomakin and Barlings Beach where Aboriginal families tell of the significant spiritual and cultural associations of this area. In the language of the Yuin people the word ‘Mogo’ is said to mean ‘Stone Axe and large camping ground’. The Monaro and Yuin people have significant heritage in the area with many Aboriginal sites and features being identified. Mogo Wildlife Park is part of the small rural village of Mogo located South of Batemans Bay on the South Coast of New South Wales. Additional dates beyond the April period are also now available on our site for those wishing to book further in advance. April school holidays between the 8th – 23rd. March 11th, 12th or 13th which is the Canberra long weekend for Canberra day. January school holidays between the 2nd and 26th. We have released our upcoming overnight camping dates and they are: December 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th,18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 27th, 28th or 29th.
